Sinn Féin TD quits ahead of selection convention

A Sinn Féin TD has quit the party ahead of the party's convention in her constituency.

It is understood that Kildare South TD Patricia Ryan will continue to serve as an independent TD, but has opted not to contest the party's selection convention next week.
