Motorists advised to avoid Cork's Fota Road following multi-vehicle collision

Gardaí in Cork have advised motorists to avoid the Fota Road following a three-vehicle collision this morning.

Gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene of the collision on the R624 Belvelly Road, also known as the Fota Road, near Cobh.

The incident occurred early on Monday morning.

Speaking to the Irish Examiner, a spokesperson for An Garda Síochána said the road remains closed.

“Motorists are advised to avoid the area,” the spokesperson said.

“As this is an ongoing incident, no further information is available at this time.”
