Man arrested after teen stabbed in Limerick

A man has been arrested in relation to the stabbing of a teenage boy in Limerick City.

Gardaí are investigating the assault, which occurred on Parnell St on June 12.

Following the assault, the teenage boy was taken to University Hospital Limerick for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.

On Wednesday, a man aged in his 30s was arrested in relation to the incident.

He was being detained at a Garda Station in Co Limerick under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

Investigations are ongoing.
