Motorcyclist killed in Co Tipperary crash involving car

A motorcyclist has died following a collision involving a car in Co Tipperary on Thursday afternoon.
The incident occurred at Ballynagrana, Carrick-on-Suir, at approximately 4.45pm.
The motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene. His body has been removed to the mortuary at University Hospital Waterford, where a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
The coroner has been notified.
The driver of the car, a man in his 40s, was taken to Tipperary University Hospital as a precaution.
No other injuries were reported, a garda spokesperson said.
The road remains closed to facilitate a technical examination of the scene by gardaí, and local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.
Road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam recordings, and who were travelling in the Ballynagrana area of Carrick-on-Suir, Co Tipperary, between 4pm and 5pm on Thursday, June 11, 2026, are asked to make it available to investigating Gardaí.
