‘There is not a day I don’t want to be next to you’: Bruna Fonseca killer’s posts laid bare

Facebook posts show convicted killer Miller Pacheco’s declarations of love for Bruna Fonseca before her murder.

The man convicted of murdering his former girlfriend, Bruna Fonseca, once pledged in a Facebook post that there wasn’t a day in his life when he didn’t want to be close to her.

Miller Pacheco wrote a lengthy Facebook post marking Bruna’s birthday in May 2018.

He wrote: “I want from the bottom of my heart a lot of peace, health and success always for you, that you conquer everything you aim for, because you deserve a lot mor (sic). I have no words to describe what you mean to me and how happy and grateful I am to have you as my girlfriend.”

He continued: “I could stay minutes, hours, days and months thinking about something and still would not fit in a text what I feel for you.”

Referring to a period of distance between the couple, he said: “I wanted every night to be able to hug you, kiss you and be able to say looking into your eyes that I love you and feel you with a simple hug.”

He added: “The life has separated us at this moment, but know that no matter what I will always give a way to go to you, because if my life was guided by a love compass, know that you would be the north and my heart would be like the pointer and always east pointed aria for you.”

He also said: “There is not a day in my life that I don’t want to be next to you.”

Just months before her murder in the early hours of New Year’s Day 2023, Bruna posted on Facebook rental pages seeking accommodation for herself and Pacheco in Cork.

On August 25 2022, she wrote: “I'm looking for a double room in Cork. I'm moving to Cork in September with my boyfriend. We're going to study English and work. His name is Miller, he's 29 years old, he's a civil engineer, I'm 28 years old, I'm a librarian. We are a quiet, clean and organised couple. We adapt easily. We like dogs, gym/sports. Our budget is €1000 a month but could be flexible for the right place. Thank you in advance.”

The posts featured smiling photos of the couple.

In July 2017, Bruna updated her Facebook page to show she was in a relationship with Pacheco.

However, the trial heard that the couple broke up before Bruna moved to Cork but later rekindled their relationship for a short period, with Pacheco following her to the city.

On July 15, 2018, he shared photos of himself and Bruna to mark their first dating anniversary.

He wrote: “I couldn’t be happier than I am, but if today I was by your side, it would be much more perfect, but anyway since we can’t be together today I hope and I’ll fight to be with you for all min ha Life.”

In another post the same year, he wrote: “Staying away from you is my biggest battle that I have to face and it’s sad that it is every day, but what motivates me and doesn’t make me give up is the certainty that you will be waiting for me when I’m to arrive with that smile on my face.”

On Instagram, he posted a photo of himself, Bruna and their dog in May 2021, captioned “loves of my life”.
