Significant progress has been made on construction near the historic Beamish and Crawford brewery site in Cork with bridge spans now lifted into place.

The pieces for one of two new pedestrian/cycling bridges were moved into the construction zone on Tuesday night with the bridges — built by contractor Jons Civil Engineering — scheduled to be completed by May.
