Man, 20s, arrested and €240,000 worth of cannabis seized in Cork City

A man has been arrested following the seizure of cannabis worth €240,000 in Cork City on Friday evening.
Gardaí attached to the Divisional Drugs Unit at Anglesea Street searched a residential property in the Mahon area.
During the search, around 12kg of cannabis with an estimated street value of €240,000 was discovered.
A man, aged in his 20s, was arrested by gardaí.
He is currently being detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996, at a Garda Station in Cork City.
The drugs will now be sent for forensic analysis.
"Investigations are ongoing," a garda spokesperson said.
