Update, March 27: Simone Scannell has been located safe and well.

Gardaí have thanked the public for their assistance.

Update, March 25: Gardaí in Cork are seeking the public's assistance in tracing the whereabouts of a missing teenager. 

17-year-old Simone Scannell was last seen in Carrigaline on Thursday, March 21.

She is described as being 5'8" in height, with a slim build. She has dark brown hair and green eyes.

When last seen, Simone was wearing a blue crop top with leggings and black shoes.

Gardaí said they are concerned for her wellbeing.
