Cork punter yet to collect €100,000 prize as Lotto bosses issue plea

Lotto bosses have appealed to the Cork ticket holder to come forward.
A Lotto player from Cork who won €100,000 in the 'Millionaire Raffle' has been told they are running out of time to collect the prize.
National Lottery bosses issued an appeal on Monday for the lucky ticket holder to come forward, as rules mean that the winnings have to be collected by the end of March.
The ticket was purchased on December 23, seven days before the New Year's draw, at Friars Road Post Office in Turner's Cross.
The winning ticket number was: 406294.
As ticket holders have 90 days from the draw date to claim their prizes, the last date to claim the amount is the close of business on March 30.
A National Lottery spokesperson appealed to Rebel County players to check their tickets carefully.
They said: "We are eager to hear from the Cork Millionaire Raffle player who won €100,000 on New Year’s Eve. While six players scooped €100,000 in the draw, the Cork player is the only one who is yet to come forward.
"The winning ticket could have been a Christmas present or it could be sitting at the end of an old handbag, so it’s important to get searching. With just under four weeks to go until the claim deadline of 30 March, we are urging all of our players who may have purchased a ticket at the Friars Road Post Office in Turners Cross to carefully check their tickets for the winning Raffle number 406294."
The Cork winner is advised to sign the back of their ticket and keep it safe before contacting the National Lottery prize teams.
Five other raffle ticket holders — from Clare, Donegal, Kildare, Louth and Meath — scooped €100,000 each in the draw, while the seven-figure top prize went to a Dublin player.
