Gardaí investigating after shots fired at Limerick home

Gardaí are investigating after shots were fired at a home in Limerick City.

The incident occurred in the Ballinacurra Weston area on Saturday at approximately 11.35pm.

Gardaí told the Irish Examiner they have received a report of "an alleged discharging of a firearm", and that no injuries have been reported at this time.

It is understood several shots were fired at the house on Saturday evening.

The scene was cordoned off by gardaí.

Due to ongoing tensions between rival factions, several incidents have been reported in the area over the last couple of months.
