Cancer doctors are hoping that a lifesaving trial at  Cork University Hospital (CUH) — which is reducing patients’ wait for genetic testing from two years to just four weeks — will be made permanent.

Medics say the ‘mainstreaming’ pilot project is a game-changer in the battle against the disease.
