Cork men accused of pouring boiling water over woman charged with assault causing harm

The two accused had previously been charged with burglary and criminal damage, arising out of the same alleged incident

Two men have both been charged with two counts of assault causing harm arising out of the investigation of a burglary where it was alleged a kettle of boiling water was poured over a woman in her bedroom and her partner was stabbed in the face with a scissors.

43-year-old Michael O’Connor, of no fixed address, and 43-year-old Patrick O’Driscoll, also of no fixed address, appeared in Cork District Court where the assault causing harm charges were brought against them. They had previously been charged with burglary and criminal damage, arising out of the same alleged incident.
