Two arrested in connection with 12kg cannabis seizure worth €240,000 in North Dublin

Revenue officers seized 12kg of cannabis from two locations in Swords

Gardaí have arrested a man in his 30s and an adult woman in connection with the seizure of 12kg of cannabis in Swords, Co Dublin.

Revenue officers seized the drugs worth around €240,000 from two seperate locations on Monday, June 9.

According to a garda spokesperson, the seizure was "a result of a joint operation conducted by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, Revenue’s Customs Service and Coolock District Drug Unit."

The arrested are currently detained in garda stations in North Dublin under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

Investigations are ongoing.
