Enoch Burke released from prison but faces daily fine of €1,400 if he returns to school after holidays

Judge said so far Mr Burke owes €193,000 to the State in fines imposed for contempt of court

Teacher Enoch Burke has been released from prison by the High Court.

Mr Burke was jailed for contempt of court in September for refusing to abide by a court order directing him to stay away from Wilson's Hospital School in Co Westmeath, where he used to teach.
