Man arrested after €38k cannabis, cocaine and MDMA seizure in Youghal

A man, aged in his 30s, has been arrested following the seizure of €38,000 worth of drugs in Co Cork.
As part of ongoing investigations targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs in east Cork, gardaí seized approximately €38,000 of suspected drugs and arrested a man on Friday.
Gardaí from the Cork County Divisional Drugs Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in Youghal, Co Cork last night at approximately 11.30pm.
During the course of the search, gardaí seized suspected cannabis, cocaine and MDMA with an estimated total value of €38,000.
The seized substances are subject to further analysis by Forensic Science Ireland.
A spokesperson for gardaí said a man, in his 30s, was arrested at the scene and is currently being detained at a Garda station in Co. Cork under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
Investigations are ongoing.
