Judge declares Dublin drug dealers' properties are crime proceeds
The Criminal Assets Bureau conducted an investigation into Christopher Waldron and was successfully granted orders over his property at 61 Killala Road, Cabra, Dublin 7, seven watches & cash in the sum of €4,605 and £445.
A Dublin drug dealer has lost his legal battle with the Criminal Assets Bureau (Cab), which on Wednesday secured orders declaring three of his properties derive from or in connection with crime proceeds.
Mr Justice Alexander Owens accepted as “reasonable” and supported by “persuasive” evidence, the bureau’s contention, that Cabra man David Waldron has been a “major player in the illegal distribution and sale of controlled controlled drugs in Dublin since 2000 and that this activity has been the mainstay of his means, income and lifestyle”.
