Family settles four actions against hospital over father’s death

The family of a man who allegedly fell while a patient at St Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin, and sustained an upper leg fracture, but later died, has settled four High Court actions over his death.

Edward Hyland (60) was in the hospital for liver transplant assessment when it is claimed he fell on the ward on the night of February 8, 2017.
