Limerick law graduate jailed for four years for rape of woman
Judge said the circumstances of this case were 'somewhat unusual', however, consensual sexual engagement beforehand 'does not excuse a failure to stop'.
A Limerick law graduate has been handed a four-year prison sentence for the rape of a woman after they had been engaged in consensual sex after meeting in a pub earlier that night.
The sentence hearing at the Central Criminal Court heard Eoin Considine, 24, and the complainant had been engaging in consensual sexual intercourse which then became rough. The intercourse continued after the woman had withdrawn consent and begged Considine to stop, the court heard.
