Law Reform Commission to propose new State compensation scheme for victims of crime

A statutory scheme of State compensation for victims of crime is to be recommended by the Law Reform Commission in a report to be published early next year.
The report — which was due at the end of 2024 — will also recommend the establishment of a statutory body to oversee the scheme.
