Man in his 50s arrested over fatal shooting in Dún Laoghaire

A man in his 50s has been arrested over a fatal shooting in Co Dublin in July.
The shooting happened in Patrician Park, Kill Avenue, Dún Laoghaire, at 8.30am on Sunday, July 5.
A man, named locally as 39-year-old Mark Cullen, was pronounced dead at the scene.
On Thursday, gardaí arrested a man aged in his 50s in connection with the investigation.
He was detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007, which means he can be held for up to seven days if gardaí are granted extensions.
A garda spokesperson said: “Investigations are ongoing.”
Earlier in the year, a man aged in his 30s was arrested in relation to the investigation but later released without charge, with a file to be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
