Gardaí investigate suspected arson attack on Longford town house

Gardaí are investigating an alleged arson attack on a house in Longford town.

The incident occurred at a home in McKeon Park on Monday, June 15, at approximately 5am.

The local fire service extinguished the blaze, and no injuries were reported. However, the house was extensively damaged.

It is understood the sole occupant of the property, a middle-aged man, was uninjured but left shaken by the incident.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information relating to the incident. They are also seeking anyone who may have video footage, including dash-cam recordings, and who was in the McKeon Park area of Longford town between 4.30am and 5.15am on Monday.
