Two due in court after drugs worth almost €2.8m seized in Dublin 

Gardai said two men aged in the 20s and 30s were arrested and detained at a station in Dublin under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act.

Two men have been charged in connection with the seizure of close to €2.8m worth of cocaine and cannabis in Dublin.

The arrests were made following two searches of properties in Coolock and Finglas on Friday, March 20.

During the operations, gardaí seized 38kg of suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of €2,660,000 at a business premises in Coolock.

A follow up search of a residential home in Finglas uncovered 1kg of cocaine with a street value of approximately €70,000 and 1kg cannabis with a value of €20,000.

Gardaí said two men, aged in the 20s and 30s, were arrested and detained at a station in Dublin under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act.

The seized drugs have been sent for forensic analysis.

In a statement, gardaí said “Both men are due to appear before Court 4, Criminal Courts of Justice,  tomorrow morning Monday March 23, 2026, at 10.30am.

“Investigations are ongoing.”
