Woman, 70s, dies in hospital after she was struck by a car in Dalkey

The woman passed away in St Vincent's Hospital on Thursday July 17

A woman in her 70s has died following a collision with a car in Dalkey, Co Dublin on Sunday, July 13.

The woman was sent to St. Vincent's Hospital after she was struck by the vehicle on the Castle Villas street at around 4.30pm.

She was treated after sustaining life-threatening injuries but passed away on Thursday, July 17.

According to a garda spokesperson, gardaí are appealing for witnesses to this incident to come forward. 

"Anyone who was in the Castle Villas street area on Sunday, July 13, between 4.15-4.45pm and who may have any information is asked to contact investigating gardaí.

"Likewise, anyone who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) is asked to make that footage available."
