Man in his 60s dies in workplace incident on Kilkenny road

A man in his 60s has died while working on a regional road near Kilkenny city.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a "work-related incident," which occurred in the Kennyswell Road area of Kilkenny city at approximately 11am on Tuesday.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The scene has been preserved for a technical examination. The Health and Safety Authority (HSA) has been notified and is investigating the matter.
