One arrested in Kerry after cocaine seized

During the course of this search, suspected cocaine with an estimated value of €100,000 was recovered.

Gardaí have seized approximately €100,000 worth of cocaine at a residence in Killarney, Co. Kerry.

Members attached to the Kerry Divisional Drugs Unit conducted a search of a residence in the town on Friday.

During the course of this search, suspected cocaine with an estimated value of €100,000 was recovered.

The drugs will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for further analysis.

The search came as part of its intelligence-led work under Operation Tara to disrupt the sale and supply of drugs in the area.

One man aged in his 30s has been arrested in connection with this seizure. 

He is currently detained at a Garda Station in the county.

Investigations are ongoing.
