The upturn in Irish weather is due to continue this week, with temperatures set to hit highs of 19C.
According to Met Éireann, Monday is expected to be one of the warmest day of the year so far, with the remainder of the week due to be similarly warm.
Temperatures will reach highs of 19C on Monday, with a mostly dry and sunny day in store.
Forecaster Aoife Kealy said: "Throughout much of the working week, it is going to continue [to be] dry, with plenty of sunshine and daytime temperatures gradually increasing”.
Tuesday and Wednesday will continue this trend, with sunny spells in store and again temperatures reaching highs of 19C.
Speaking on Met Éireann's weather podcast, forecaster Deirdre Lowe said: “There’s little change really for Tuesday and Wednesday, remaining dry, with virtually unbroken sunshine highs of 14C to 18C, with light, variable or easterly breezes.
“The latter part of the week ahead will remain dry and it will become warmer, with temperatures by Friday, widely in the high teens.”
Thursday and Friday will again repeat the trend with more dry and sunny conditions in store.
However, nights are still expected to be cold throughout the week. On Monday night, temperatures will fall to lows of 0C to 6C, with night time temperatures rarely going above 7C this week.
While it will be dry and clear overnight this week, patches of mist and fog will develop in most places.
Met Éireann has also identified when this warm weather spell will likely come to an end, saying: "Showers and a slight decrease in temperatures are possible on Sunday."
"The weather is likely to start to become a little more changeable and unsettled into week two [from April 14], with low pressure to the southeast starting to influence conditions.
"It’ll be a little wetter than normal in the east, but it’ll continue to be drier than normal further west. Temperatures will drop and will be closer to average."
