Motorcyclist, 50s, killed in crash in Dublin

A man in his 50s had died following a crash involving a car and a motorbike in Dublin.  

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of the collision, which happened on Sallyglen Road in Glenegeary at approximately 8.15pm. 

The male motorcyclist, aged in his 50s, was fatally injured in the collision. His body has been removed from the scene to the mortuary in St Columcille's Hospital, Loughlinstown where an autopsy is due to take.

The driver of car, a male in his 60s, was uninjured.

The road is currently closed pending a technical examination of the scene. Local diversions have been put in place.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact them.

Any road users who with camera footage who travelling on the Sallyglen Road, Glenageary between 8pm and 8.30pm last night are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
