The cost-of-living payments from Budget 2025 and when they will be paid

A number of lump sum payments were announced as part of the Government's €10.5bn giveaway plan on Tuesday.Â
These include child benefit payments, a "baby boost" payment and social welfare bonuses.Â
These supports, introduced as part of Budget 2025 are due to be paid between October 2024 and January 2025.Â
Nearly €2bn was allocated to the Department of Social Protection, one of the largest in the state's history.Â
Here is a list of all lump sum payments confirmed for this year.Â
- There will be two double child benefit payments, one in November and another in December.Â
- A €400 lump sum payment will be made to all families getting the Working Family Payment in November 2024.Â
- There will be a €100 payment for those getting Child Support Payment in November.Â
- Pensioners, carers, lone parents, people on disability payments and long-term jobseekers will get a bonus in October.Â
- Some 1.3 million social welfare recipients are set to get Christmas bonuses.Â
- A €420 'baby boost' payment in January will be given out as part of the Newborn Baby Grant.Â
These once-off payments are not the only changes from Budget 2025 that will be made to some social welfare schemes.Â
These include:Â
- €300 payment for those getting Fuel Allowance.Â
- €200 payment for pensioners and disabled people on Living Alone Increase.Â
- €400 for those getting the Carer's Support Grant
- €400 for those getting Disability Allowance, Blind Pension and Invalidity Pension
