Woman killed and man injured after three-vehicle crash in Wexford

A woman has died and one man has been injured in a three-vehicle crash in Co Wexford. 

Gardaí and emergency services personnel remain at the scene of the collision involving a truck, a van, and a car, which happened on the N25 at Barntown at approximately 6.30am on Tuesday. 

The driver of the car involved, a woman in her 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her body has been taken to University Hospital Waterford where an autopsy will take place in due course. 

The driver of the van, a man in his 40s, was taken to Wexford General Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The scene where the accident occurred has been preserved pending a technical examination by Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions have been put in place.

Investigating gardaí have issued an appeal for witnesses.

Any road users with camera footage who were travelling in the area at the time of the incident have been asked to make this footage available.
