Watch: Walk around the first C295 Maritime Surveillance Aircraft for the Irish Air Corps

These new airbus C295 aircrafts are primarily equipped for maritime surveillance, but will also deliver logistics support and transport of troops and equipment, medical evacuation and air ambulances, search and rescue and a general utility role.

The air force in Ireland will be more “tech-enabled, enhanced and efficient” going forward, the Defence Forces chief of staff Lieutenant General Seán Clancy has said.
