'She was going to buy a lotto ticket': Family of missing woman 'up the walls with worry'
Have you seen Mary Mason?
The son of a 65-year-old woman who went missing on Thursday has said her family are “up the walls with worry” over her disappearance.
Mary Mason left her Killiney home in south Dublin to travel by bus to Dún Laoghaire and has not been seen since.
Gardaí are appealing for the public’s help in finding the missing grandmother, who was last seen on Marine Road in Dún Laoghaire, Co Dublin, at about 11.10am on Thursday.
Speaking to the , her son Carl Mason said his family were extremely concerned for her wellbeing.
“We have no idea what has happened to her,” he said. “She literally went out and got the bus to Dún Laoghaire yesterday morning and we haven’t seen her since.
“She said she was going into town to buy a lotto ticket, and we know that she did buy the ticket and that’s it, she has vanished.
“The gardaí are in touch and they are getting CCTV from the area, that’s why we know she bought the lotto ticket.

Mr Mason said she would not have walked home, because she lives in Killiney village.
"That’s too long of a walk from Dún Laoghaire up the hill to Killiney village. It would be about an hour’s walk.
“We have checked all the hospitals in case she fell, she left with her purse and bank card so the gardaí are following up all of that to see if it was used.
“We are just waiting now and hoping for good news. Mam has four children, and she is a granny too. We just want to get her back we are very concerned.”
Ms Mason is described as being around 5ft6in in height, with a thin build, red hair, and green/blue eyes.
She was last seen wearing a green puffer jacket, blue jeans and shoes with white soles and a zip on the heel.
Anyone with any information on Mary's whereabouts is asked to contact Dún Laoghaire Garda station on 01 666 5000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
