'Unassuming’ John Bruton laid to rest in State funeral

Former Taoiseach John Bruton has been laid to rest in a State funeral in Co Meath, with tributes describing him as a statesman of “unshakable integrity”.

President Micheal D Higgins, Taoiseach Leo Varadkar, Ministers, TDs and parliamentary ushers were among those who attended the service at Saints Peter and Paul's Church in Mr Bruton's hometown of Dunboyne, Co Meath.
