One dead, two injured, following collision in Donegal 

The N14 at Carrickballydooey, Manorcunningham is currently closed pending a technical examination of the scene by Garda forensic collision investigators. Traffic diversions are currently in place.

A man in his 30s has died and two people have been injured following a two vehicle collision in Co Donegal on Monday.

The incident occurred on the N14 near Manorcunningham at around 7pm.

The man, who was a passenger in one of the vehicles, was fatally injured during the crash.

His body was taken to the mortuary of Letterkenny University Hospital, where an autopsy will take place.

Both drivers of the vehicles were also taken to Letterkenny University Hospital where they were treated for their injuries, which are believed to be non-life threatening.

Gardaí in Letterkenny are now appealing to anyone who may have information in relation to this collision to contact them.

In a statement, a Garda spokesperson said: "Any road users who were on the N14, on Monday evening 18th December, 2023 between 6.30pm and 7pm and who may have camera footage (including dash cam) is asked to make this available to investigating gardaí."

The death is the 179th to occur on Irish roads this year, according to Garda stats.
