Revenue made 93 data breaches last year 

There were 17 breaches relating to letters to check compliance with the Temporary Wage Subsidy Scheme Picture: iStock

Revenue had 93 data breaches in 2019 and 91 in the first eight months of this year, according to information obtained under the Freedom of Information Act.

They include letters sent to the wrong people, an unsigned cheque sent to a third party and bank details sent to the wrong person.
