A full report into the shooting of a man as he walked through a British Army checkpoint in Northern Ireland will not be released, the Irish government has confirmed on the 30th anniversary of his death.

Disclosing the entire content of the Crowley inquiry into the killing of Aidan McAnespie even three decades on would be a breach of trust with local community members who gave information, Justice Minister Charlie Flanagan said.
