Gardaí boarded a train from Dublin to Belfast Saturday night after reports of a disturbance on board.

GAA fans returning from the Tyrone v Armagh match at Croke Park in Dublin reported an affray to staff.

Gardaí at Drogheda boarded the train at around 10.20pm on Saturday night and say they spoke to a number of passengers and calmed the situation down.

No complaints were made and no arrests were made.

Gardaí have said the train left the station a short time later without further incident.
