Latest: Family of rape ordeal student arrives in Dublin

Update 6.46pm: The family of a young student who was tied up and repeatedly raped throughout the night have arrived in Dublin to care for her, it has been reported.

The 18-year-old Spanish student met an Irish man in the city centre on Saturday before she was brought to the Pigeon House Road beside Sandymount Strand in Ringsend, where the prolonged attack took place.
