Five weapons seized in Dublin car search

Two sub machine guns and a number of other firearms have been seized in Dublin.

Gardai say five weapons including hand guns, silencers, sub machine guns and ammunition were discovered following the search of a car in the Cabra area.

The Garda Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau Unit and the Garda Special Crime Task Force carried out the planned search yesterday.

No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing.
