There are more than 315 patients waiting for hospital beds today.

University Hospital Limerick has the worst overcrowding with 42, most of whom are on trolleys.

Cork University Hospital has 29 patients waiting, Beaumont in Dublin has 23 and Our Lady of Lourdes in Drogheda has 22.

The daily figures are compiled by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation.
