The captain who read Ireland's Proclamation of Independence during yesterday's centenary parade has spoken of his honour to have been chosen for the job.

Captain Peter Kelleher, from Douglas, Cork, had auditioned for the role and said he had practiced considerably before walking out in front of the GPO.
