ESB warns of more flooding as Parteen water flow remains at current level
The ESB will not increase the amount of water flowing through the Parteen Weir today.
It stated the level of water in Lough Derg increased marginally in the past 24 hours, but the flow will remain unchanged and will be reviewed again tomorrow.

However, the power company is warning that flooding is likely in the vicinity of the Shannon - downstream of Parteen Weir - including the areas of Springfield, Montpelier, Castleconnell, Mountshannon and the University of Limerick.
The ESB said that it is continuing to monitor the situation and will liaise with the relevant County Councils.
"We're advising people that the level in Lough Derg has increased marginally in the last 24 hours, and that the flow through Parteen will remain at 440 cubic metres per second today," said ESB communications manager Bernadine Maloney.
"We continuously monitor the levels in Lough Derg and look at weather forecasts and make regular assessments of the flows.
"This level is likely to continue to have associated flooding in lands and properties in the vicinity of the Shannon ,downstream of Parteen."
