A man has been arrested by officers investigating the theft of €100,000 worth of livestock in West Meath.

A man has been arrested by officers investigating the theft of €100,000 worth of livestock in West Meath.

The 34-year-old is being questioned in Athlone Garda Station.

The cattle went missing in Kilbeggan in June of this year.

He is being held under section 4 of the criminal justice act.

The Irish Farmer's Association has offered a reward to anyone who has information that leads to the recovery of the livestock.
