Dublin and Galway restaurants awarded first Michelin star
The Greenhouse Restaurant in Dublin and Loam in Galway have both received a Michelin star in the latest guide.

They are among 15 restaurants in Britain and Ireland to be awarded a star for the first time by the prestigious guide.
Two restaurants in Belfast, EIPIC and OX, have also been awarded a star.
These two new additions to this year’s guide bring the total number of Michelin star restaurants in Ireland to nine.
Others are Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud, Chapter One and L’Ecrivain, all in Dublin City.
Beyond the capital, Kilkenny hosts two Michelin Star restaurants - Campagne in Kilkenny City and the Lady Helen at Mount Juliet Hotel, Thomastown.
Others are the House Restaurant at Cliff House Hotel, Ardmore, Co. Waterford and Aniar Restaurant at Lower Dominic Street in Galway City.
Seven Bib Gourmand Awards also presented, recognising establishments that offer good food at affordable prices of €40 or less for a three-course meal.
Seven newcomers to the list of 16 Bib Gourmand recipients featured in the 2016 Michelin Guide are

Copper Hen (Tramore);

Bastion (Kinsale).

Wild Honey Inn (Lisdoonvarna).
Speaking at the launch of the Michelin Guide, editor Rebecca Burr said: "Stars and Bib Gourmands are annual awards.
"Each year we seek out new candidates and reassess our existing award restaurants.
"Consistency is a key part of our selection process and it is important for our readers that the standard of cooking is maintained."
