Suspect package sent to Alan Kelly declared a hoax
The Army Bomb Disposal team has declared a suspect package sent to the office of Environment Minister Alan Kelly a hoax.
The parcel arrived in the post at Minister Kelly's office in Nenagh this morning, prompting an evacuation of the building.
The army's Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team was called in to deal with the package, which contained a chemical substance and a note of a threatening nature.
After an inspection, the package was declared a hoax and the scene was declared safe at 1.30 pm.
