Missing boy Thomas Delaney found

A boy, missing from Kilkenny since last Wednesday, has been found by Gardai.

Thomas Delaney, 12, who is originally from Limerick, was seen around midday Thursday in his native city where some of his relatives still reside.

The boy hails from a settled traveller family and was last seen in the Johnsgate Village part of Limerick Thursday afternoon.

Gardai said they had been "anxious" to trace the boy to return him to Kilkenny.

The boy, with an address at Glenmore, Co Kilkenny, went missing midday on Wednesday.

A security source confirmed the boy had been located safe and well in Limerick at around 8pm tonight.
