Unemployment stands still at 9.7%

The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for June was 9.7%.

That figure is unchanged from the previous month and down from 11.4% in June 2014.

According to the CSO, there were 208,100 people unemployed in June.

The rate of youth unemployment – those in the 15- to 24-year-old bracket – was 19.8% in June, compared to 20% in May.
