Gardaí arrest man in connection with Clare attack

A 32-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the assault of a man in Miltown Malbay in Co Clare yesterday afternoon.

It happened at a property in Coor East Doonogan at around 4.30pm.

During the investigation, Gardaí found €124,000 worth of cannabis at the premises which had been damaged by fire.

A 36-year-old man was taken to University College Hospital, Galway, and treated for a number of cuts.

A 32-year-old man has been arrested and is being held at Kilrush Garda Station.
