45 jobs lost as Supervalu store closes in Newcastle West

Some 45 jobs will be lost in Newcastle West after the decision by the Garvey Group to close the town's Supervalu store, it has emerged today.

According to a statement on behalf of the company this afternoon, the store will cease trading on Saturday, April 25 "due to difficult trading conditions".
