Redundancy scheme in the North could save nearly €120m

Around £88m (€119m) will be saved from civil service budgets during the first full year after a voluntary redundancy scheme is introduced in the North, the Stormont finance minister said.

The measure is to be rolled out next month, with the first staff leaving by September.
