Lotto machines in shops across the country are being reconnected to the network so that punters can play tonight, with an expected jackpot of €10m up for grabs.

A telecommunications problem, referred to as a "network incident" by the National Lottery in a statement this afternoon, affected data customers across Europe, including more than 3,500 Lotto agents around Ireland.
